Respect can be defined as consideration for self and of others. Respect includes consideration for other people's privacy, their physical space and belongings; and respect for different viewpoints, philosophies, physical ability, beliefs and personality. Respect for co-workers and their respective roles in the workplace encourage a collegial work atmosphere. It also fosters collaboration, synergy and cooperation, which are essential ingredients for creating a workforce that values productivity, performance and the quality of its products or services.

Transparency in business requires entrepreneurs to remain open and informative about key points of information, including their business's goals, history, performance and operations. This open "reveal" of information shows that a company has nothing to hide, and helps consumers make better decisions.

 It is perhaps the most important principle of leadership and dependent on integrity because it demands truthfulness and honesty. Many companies and organizations fail because they don't follow the reality principle.
